Oil Creek Plastics, Inc., the originators of the "CRIMP" proudly introduces
The Newest Innovation In Pressurized Polyethylene Water Piping

The highest quality pressurized polyethylene water pipe has gotten better!
A.I.M. a plug, is inserted into the ends of each pipe coil replaces the traditional "crimp" method while maintaining a pressurized seal. This innovation offers the advantages of traditional "crimp" pipe while allowing Oil Creek Plastics to improve production and manufacture a more user-friendly product.

Our new method of production allows Oil Creek Plastics to take advantage of today's more sophisticated production technology. Ultrasonic monitoring now controls all water and gas pipe extruded. This computerized system continuously checks the pipe for wall dimensions and diameter tolerances to insure the product meets all applicable standards.

A.I.M. production extrudes 1/2" through 1" water and gas pipe on large diameter reels. Producing the pipe on large reels reduces the coil memory of polyethylene pipe. When the end user unrolls the coil, it will have a reduced tendency to recoil during installation.

The reels are then routed to our new coiling equipment. THis computerized equipment makes the individual coils to the programmed length. The next stage of coiling pipe is the packaging. All 1/2" through 1" NSF water pipe and gas pipe are individually shrink-wrapped. The shrink-wrapping of Oil Creek Plastics pipe allows for more stable stacking of coils.

In the final stage of water pipe production, a rubber plug is inserted into both ends of the coil and air is infused. Plugging the coil prevents dirt, debris or other contaminants from getting into the coil. When the installer removes or cuts off the plug, the "hiss" that is heard informs the installer that no puncture has occurred after the coil has been produced and shipped.

Consistency and Accuracy
  • Ultrasonic wall monitors guarantee adherence to strict product specifications
  • Computerized statistical process control increases quality assurance
Easier Identification
No Product Waste
  • Plugs are easily removed, eliminating "crimp" waste
Decreased Coil Memory
  • Labor savings through the dramatic reduction in coil memory allows the end user to unwind and install a coil more effectively and efficiently
Choice of Packaging Options
  • BANDED · polyethylene banding externally secures coil, reducing the time and labor involved in unwrapping since NO tape is used
  • SHRINK WRAPPED · externally shrink wrapped coil fed from the inside out, allows the user to easily uncoil as much pipe as needed while the coil remains intact
Improved Storage
  • Packaging innovations promote ease in stacking by creating a more compact and level coil
