Installation

  1. NSF APPROVED OCP AQUA SERIES pipe is recommended for use with single or multi-stage jet pumps or submersible pumps at the following maximum water pumping level at 73.4°. -GRAPH - Maximum water pumping level for pumps is the vertical distance between the ground and the water in the well when the pump has been operating and the water has reached it's normal operating level. Don't confuse this with the static water level which is the maximum height the water stands in the casing when the pump is turned off.
  2. Before installing. inspect pipe to detect any damage that may have been caused by shipping, storage or handling, Damage spots can be cut out and pipe recoupled to form a continuous length. Severe damage should be reported at once.
  3. When installing pipe or tubing as a service line. the following instructions should be followed:
    1. Trench bottom should be smooth and free of sharp objects.
    2. Snake pipe in trench, allowing for at least one foot per 100ft. for thermal contractions.
    3. Run water through pipe before backfilling in order to check connections and to cool to operating temperature.
    4. Service lines should be buried a minimum of two feet or below the frost line. If pipe is exposed to freezing conditions in shallow bury installations, drain should be provided.
    5. Protect pipe against excessive surge or water hammer.
    6. Use fittings to make short radius bends.
    7. Do not kink, gouge or damage pipe during installation.
    8. Do not use pipe in hot water installations or beyond the rated pressure
  4. We recommend nylon or metal fittings, and all stainless steel clamps, two at each fitting.
  5. To aid insertion into pipe, warm pipe in hot water.
